I am writing regarding my credit card account #5178-0580-3889-2413. First, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent service I have received from Capital One over the years. Since opening my account in April 2011, I have maintained an impeccable record by consistently making timely payments and demonstrating strong financial responsibility.

 

Recently, I noticed that my credit report reflects two 30-day late payments for March and April 2024. I fully acknowledge this oversight and accept responsibility; however, I would like to explain the circumstances that led to these late payments.

 

During those months, my family faced a life-altering crisis when a loved one fell gravely ill. Overnight, we were plunged into a situation filled with uncertainty, distress, and unexpected expenses. Emergency medical bills, costly treatments, essential medications, and urgent therapies began to accumulate. Each day became a struggle as we balanced the urgent need to care for our family member with our financial obligations. It was a period marked by hardship and sacrifice, where every dollar spent on saving a life forced us to make difficult financial decisions.

 

Despite this setback, I have resumed my disciplined financial management and continue to meet my obligations promptly, as I have done for over a decade with Capital One. Unfortunately, the impact of these two late payments is now hindering a personal goal of mine to purchase a home for my family. Owning a home represents not only financial stability but also the opportunity to provide my family with a safe and secure environment for the future.

 

With humility and trust in the longstanding relationship I have built with Capital One, I respectfully request that you consider removing these two late payment records as a gesture of goodwill. I am confident that my history of responsible financial management supports this request, and I would greatly appreciate your understanding and assistance in this matter.
