I am disputing the following hard inquiries that appear on my credit report as unauthorized and lacking permissible purpose under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681b.
Under federal law, a credit inquiry may only be made for specific permissible purposes, including a consumer-initiated application or written authorization. I did not apply for credit with any of the companies listed below, nor did I provide verbal or written consent for these inquiries.
Furthermore, I contacted the creditors directly, and they confirmed that no application exists in my name and that no permissible purpose was established for accessing my credit file.
As a result, these inquiries constitute unauthorized access to my consumer report and must be treated as fraudulent or non-permissible under the FCRA.
I am formally requesting the immediate deletion of the following hard inquiries:
• [CREDITOR NAME] – Date: [MM/DD/YYYY]
• [CREDITOR NAME] – Date: [MM/DD/YYYY]
• [CREDITOR NAME] – Date: [MM/DD/YYYY]
If these inquiries cannot be verified with proof of a permissible purpose, including a signed authorization or legitimate application, they must be removed immediately in compliance with federal law.
Failure to delete these unauthorized inquiries will constitute continued non-compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
